Move better. Feel like yourself again.

Yoga for everyday movement, breath, and rest — for beginners and experienced practitioners alike.

I.  The Approach
i

Listen

A short conversation first — how you’re feeling, what your body needs, what you’d like from the practice.

ii

Adjust

I observe how you move and breathe, and shape the session accordingly. Calm, curious, never rushed.

iii

Practise together

We move together at your pace — with adjustments, alternatives, and feedback that genuinely fit you.

II.  Sessions

Five ways to practise. All built around you.

Whether you’re completely new or have been practising for years — and whether you prefer to practise solo, with friends, or as part of a team — there’s a way that fits.

A session shaped entirely around you — whether you’re a complete beginner, an experienced practitioner refining your work, or returning to the mat after a break.

We meet at your home or a quiet local park. We talk first, then practise. The session adapts to how you feel that day.

III.  About me

A student, always learning.

Loyston Mathias

I’m Loyston Mathias — a yoga teacher based in Adelaide. I’ve been practising for over ten years, and what I teach is what the practice has given me: movement that meets the body you have, breath that steadies the mind, and stillness that welcomes whatever the day has handed you.

My teaching is welcoming and adaptable, open to every body and every level — from people who’ve never tried yoga, to long-time practitioners refining their work.

IV.  The Framework

The five points of practice.

My training comes from the Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Dhanwantari Ashram in Kerala — one of the oldest yoga lineages in the world. The tradition rests on five simple practices, which form the quiet backbone of how I teach.

  1. 01

    Asana Postures

Steady, conscious movement that builds flexibility and strength while calming the mind.

  2. 02

    Pranayama Breath

Conscious breathing as a tool for calm and clarity, on and off the mat.

  3. 03

    Savasana Rest

Deep, restorative relaxation — a few quiet minutes that belong entirely to you.

  4. 04

    Sattvic Living Diet

Food that gives the body energy and the mind calm. Offered as an idea, never a rule.

  5. 05

    Meditation Mind

The cultivation of a steady, generous mind through short guided sessions and a curious approach.
